SCA NH Recognition Ceremony 2011

SCA is thrilled to celebrate the impact made by our 2011 Americorp interns in the state of New Hampshire.

Here are some highlights of their work:

  • 15 different projects with 9 partners
  • Projects included trail maintenance and construction, facility enhancements, invasives removal, vista clearing and more
  • Volunteer leadership projects included: hosting the SCA-Southwest Airlines Tour40 service project in Manchester, 9/11 service day in Manchester, The New Hampshire Food Bank, 4-H gardens, Salem town forest and other volunteer trail days with various partners
  • Members have worked in environmental education in the Manchester public schools and worked as NH Parks Interpretive rangers, engaging thousands of park visitors
  • Members led the Manchester high school Conservation Leadership Corps, engaging over 40 participants with dozens of projects in the greater Manchester area and 4 two-week projects in the White Mountain National Forest

Join us as we recognize and honor the 46,500 hours of service they’ve given to New Hampshire this year.
