Trail building & native plant work with Mount Sutro Stewards
Come get your hands dirty at Mount Sutro! On Saturday, September 19th, we will be joining the Mount Sutro Stewards from 9 am to 1 pm. For decades, neighborhood residents have known and enjoyed the Mount Sutro Open Space, a wilderness area situated in the heart of the city. Its dense 61-acre eucalyptus forest and fog-shrouded slopes are home to an amazing variety of vegetation and wildlife habitat. The summit native plant garden and expanding trail network are a quiet refuge for neighbors, visitors and UCSF students and staff. This project is supported by the San Francisco Recreation & Park Department's Natural Areas Program. http://www.natureinthecity.org/mtsutro.php

Food & beverages are provided for Mt. Sutro volunteers after the workday. To join us for the day, please call 510-832-1966 x303 or RSVP for Mount Sutro Project to casw@thesca.org and let me know if you would like to carpool.

Directions: Meet at 9am at the Woods Building parking lot, located at 100 Medical Center Way, San Francisco, 94131. This lot is halfway down the hill from Clarendon Ave. Due to ongoing construction, we recommend accessing the Woods lot from Clarendon Ave, via Johnstone to Medical Center Way. Pedestrian access is still available from Parnassus via the staircase and Surge lots. Map available here.

By public transit, take Muni N to Carl St & Hillway Ave or Muni 6 or 43 to Parnassus Ave & Medical Center Way.
