Habitat Restoration Day at Humboldt Bay NWR
Humboldt Bay National Wildlife Refuge will be holding a large volunteer restoration day on Sunday, December 6th. Come out for a restoration planting of native riprarian habitat in an area formerly dominated by invasive euclyptus trees. We need your help to plant willows, alders, twinberry and other plants that will be used by deer, songbirds and many other forms of wildlife for decades to come! Humboldt Bay NWR will have all plants and tools on hand the day of the event, and plants will be laid out where they need to be planted so younger children can easily participate. The event starts at 9am and goes until 2pm.
If you have any questions feel free to call the Humboldt Bay NWR at 707-733-5406 or email Aliana Knapp-Prasek at alianalee.sca@gmail.com
