June 2012
Dear {Friend},
This month SCA turns 55! Since 1957, nearly 70,000 young people have engaged in hands-on conservation, providing more than 30 million hours of work for the planet. (Scroll through our online timeline to see the impact.)
SCA at 55 is still as energetic – and focused on our mission – as ever! We're committed to making a difference by providing 10,000 conservation apprenticeships per year by the end of the decade. Just like the crew leaders engaged in work skills training outside my window here in Charlestown (see Nora Kaufman’s blog post), we’re excited and ready to tackle the challenges that lie ahead.
