American Eagle Outfitters and SCA have decided to offer a special service opportunity for local NY and NJ youth to serve in their backyard.

We’ve added a few spots to the AE Donates. You Decide. Summer Service project so local young people can help their community recover from the effects of Hurricane Sandy.

The opportunity is open to 18-25 year olds from NY or NJ who are interested in giving back by helping restore New York Harbor from the effects of Hurricane Sandy. Please email us at SCArecruiting@thesca.org to apply.

A few things to note about the upcoming project and the selection process:

• Check out the project guidelines and make sure you (or someone you know) meets them.
• This is an expense-paid project – travel to/from the project site, rustic camping and food is included.
• The project will take place in New York City and Harbor Parks of New York. 
• Project dates are from June 16th through June 22nd.
• Application deadline is May 24, 2013.

We are so excited to be able to offer this unique service opportunity to local NY and NJ youth. We can’t wait to get on the ground and help the New York Harbor recover from Hurricane Sandy…and to make sure that local young people are part of the solution.
